Welcome to our studio!
We are a creative art studio for children with an emphasis on the history of art and famous artists’ styles and contributions to the world. With classes in drawing, painting, assemblage, and clay-creation, children will learn art basics like perspective, composition and color theory in a fun, non-competitive and supportive environment.
Classes are small to encourage personal growth and individual attention. We are here to support families in our community looking for quality after-school creative activities and studio time for preschool children when their parents need a break.
Valerie Durbin, co-owner and instructor of Art of Ages Studio with her husband, studied art history at California State University, Long Beach, where she also studied early childhood education and fine art. Valerie shared her passion for art with her children and to this day actively volunteers at the schools they attend.

Winter Break Art Camp!
Winter break is here and we have perfect creative activities for the kids! Running Monday Dec. 19 to Thursday Dec. 22 from 9:30am-12:30pm, the four day camp will cover pottery, painting and assemblage projects. Cost is $160 per student. Go to the Schedule and Registration page to view and sign up.
